THE WRITERS STUDIO AMSTERDAM

The Writers Studio Amsterdam, based on the 25-year old New York program where Jennifer Egan, Walter Mosely, Martha McPhee, and Lesley Dormen studied, welcomes beginning students and experienced writers new to the Writers Studio method to a unique workshop environment where fiction writers and poets learn to discover and nurture their own voices. Students are offered a supportive environment and community in which they learn how to turn autobiographical fragments into successful narrative and poetic pieces.

The Writers Studio Amsterdam workshops follow the model that has helped thousands of writers reach their full potential. Each week, students read excerpts from classic and contemporary literature and work on exercises to master the literary techniques studied. Students may continue through a series of progressively demanding workshops. Writers Studio students may go from taking Amsterdam workshops to taking Writers Studio Online workshops to meet the needs of their lifestyle and writing goals.

The Writers Studio Amsterdam classes meet once a week for 10 weeks at The English Bookshop, Lauriergracht 71, 1016 RH Amsterdam. For more information, please contact 06-26 26 14 14 or AmsterdamInfo@writerstudio.com.

Dynamic, inspiring, invigorating, supportive. The Writers Studio seemed to me to have all the qualities one could possibly wish for in a writing school
