Tucson Intermediate Workshop is for students who have completed two terms of Workshop and are eager to learn additional craft. The weekly routine is much like that of the Tucson Workshop, but the assignments, discussion, and critiques delve more deeply and broadly into the process of creating and sustaining a strong narrative voice, and exploring the power of creating tension between the narrator’s tone of voice and the piece’s underlying mood. Some of the eight weeks are spent revising and deepening exercises from earlier in the term.
Open only to students who have completed The Writers Studio Tucson Workshop and upon the recommendation of the teacher.
