About the Tucson Master Workshops

Students come into the Tucson Master Workshop with plenty of experience and sophistication. Here they take on the next challenge: honing the skills and developing the healthy habits that will sustain them throughout their writing lives. They develop new self-awareness about their own internal process, as well as increasing control over the “voice” that’s unique to them and over their narrative choices. Students at this level continue to do exercises from the Craft Class, but they also routinely complete poems and stories to submit for publication, and work toward creating a book-length manuscript. Teachers in the school also participate in this workshop.

Writers Studio Tucson Master Workshop meets virtually for eight weeks. For more information, please contact Renee Bibby at (520) 591-8795 or renee@writerstudio.com.

Open only to students who have completed The Writers Studio Tucson Advanced Workshop and upon the recommendation of the teacher.

Master Class has been a wonderfully supportive environment to develop and refine skills I learned in earlier levels, equipping me to devise stronger narrative voices to better tell stories. As I’ve been bringing in sections of a longer work, high-level feedback from the teacher and fellow students has been indispensable, giving me the critical skills and confidence I need to drive my story toward completion.
