Liz Kingsley

is a poet and the Administrative Director of The Writers Studio. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and New York University. Her poetry has appeared in New Ohio Review, The McNeese Review, The Round, Euphony, Exit 13, Tipping the Scales, Cagibi, Sweet: A Literary Confection, River Heron Review, Anacapa Review, Molecule: A Tiny Lit Mag, and (M)othering Anthology, and her fiction has appeared in The William and Mary Review. Her interview with poet Kelli Russell Agodon appears in TriQuarterly. Her personal essays have been published in New Jersey Family Magazine and the anthology Blended: Writers on the Stepfamily Experience. In 2025, she received an MFA from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Also in 2025, she was named a Finalist for the May Sarton New Hampshire Poetry Prize, Bauhan Publishing LLC, and a Finalist in the Saints & Sinners LGBTA+ Poetry Contest, a program of the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival. She received Pushcart Prize nominations in 2013, 2019, and 2021. A special education teacher in an elementary school, Liz lives in Westfield, New Jersey with her wife, some (thankfully not all) of their grown children, and many nonhuman animals.
